Five  Things to do in Miami

Yes,   Miami is a city of sunny beaches and beautiful skies. And if you go just to enjoy the beaches and take some time away in the sand, that’s perfectly fine. But the city has a lot more to offer  than just fun at the beach, These are things  that you may not want to miss out on.

Here are some of the best things to do and see while you’re in  the greater Miami area:

1.   Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

If you came to Miami to get some time away, this is a great way to do that. These gardens span 84 acres, and are filled to the brim with all sorts of tropical plants, from the common to the rare.

This is a great place to explore, spend time in nature, and escape from the stresses of life. The sprawling gardens can draw you in and help you get lost in a place of beauty.

2.   Wynwood Walls

This location can be a quick stop, but one definitely worth seeing. This outdoor gallery is home to art by graffiti artists and muralists, all done on the walls. The art is spectacular to see, and it’s a great place to share on social media if you want to.

3.   Coral Gables Museum Downtown Walking Tour

Going on this tour is a great way to learn more about the history of the city you’re in, and see some of its most historic spots. The tour starts in the museum at downtown Coral Gables, which is a historic building itself.

Then, the tour is guided through the district, with plenty of information about the rich history of the location along the way. If you want to know more about Miami, this is the way to find out.

4.   Miami Design District

Miami isn’t all nature, art, and history. There’s a good bit of shopping to be done here as well, and nowhere is better for that than the Design District.

This area is packed full of boutiques, galleries, and other big-name stores. From Louis Vuitton to Versace Home, you’ll find a lot of famous (and expensive) designer brands here. And if you don’t have the money to actually buy stuff, that’s fine. Spending the day window shopping and observing other people can be fun all on its own.

5.   Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science

If you love science, museums, or even just natural life, this spot is a must-visit. It contains an aquarium, a planetarium, and two science galleries, so it has something to interest just about everybody.

And with all of this space, it can accommodate even large crowds, so you won’t feel squished. You could easily spend an entire day here, learning about the world around you and the wonderful achievements of science.

Whether you want to learn about the city’s history, see the marvels of science, enjoy the art, go shopping, or just spend some time in nature, Miami has plenty of destinations to satisfy your needs. These five spots will turn a good trip to Miami into a great one.

BONUS

Go to  the Coconut Grove a neighborhood.

There is where you will find Vivcaya Musuem

Another mansion from the hey days. It will take about two to three hours to see. But it is a glimpse to the past.

The grotto or pool is not to missed.

“An indoor-outdoor space, half of the pool is nestled underneath the first floor of the Main House, directly under the Living Room to be exact. From any vantage point outdoors, visitors can look down to the pool and peer inside the grotto. In real life, or virtually, the space is a sight to be seen. ”
