Are you looking for a new sports bar after or before the games? Well, you are in for a treat. A new bar has opened: Hat Back Bar and Grille. And it is across the street from T Mobile Park! Yes, you can walk to the bar.
The front and back of the brewery has paid to park, there is free parking on non-game days. We stopped in for a beer and some quick eats. The menu is better than most sports bars as it had some non-fried items! We had the pretzel and the IPA beers.
If the location seems familiar it Is because this is where the Pyramid Brewing Company was. The Mariners took the old location and turned it into a well-lit restaurant beer brewery place to have a few. The warm wood décor is inviting as it is the room with all the photos of Seattle’s best players.
Danielle showed us around and she pointed out the features of the restaurant/ tap room. She did show us Ken Griffey’s image on the wall. Check out the photos they are something to see.
The room next to Hat Back is Steelheads Alley, paying tribute to the Seattle Steelheads Negro League baseball team. It will be the home of resident brewery Metier Brewing Company, which is the state’s first black-owned brewery. That area has seating that is separate from Hat Back and will host special events.
Take some time to stop in and enjoy the atmosphere and the great beer.
Cheers!
