Our visit to the cities  of the Stroudsburg and Tannersville Pennsylvania

We quickly realized one thing. You are never a long way from fun in Tannersville Pennsylvania! The Pocono Mountains town has amazing spots to enjoy, sights to see and carry out fun activities. Stroudsburg and Tannersville  is located in the middle of the Pocono Mountains.

Tannersville is a small town, and we stayed at one of the smaller hotels. We were there in Summer and the warm days meant we had to look for air-conditioning, it was easy to find. Regardless of the climate, though it seems you will discover a lot of family-fun activities in Tannersville. Indoor and outside undertakings proliferate here as you have endless possibilities. Camel beach is the great water park in Pennsylvania.

We went outlet shopping at Crossings Premium. Then later in the day we went to the water park at Camel Beach. We stumbled upon a few Antique stores. There are treasures to be found.

The next day we ventured out to Honesdale. What a cute town,  has that true 1800s feel. They brought a train over from England.

It was called the “Stourbridge Lion”, brought over to transport coal. A full size replica is there for all to see in Wayne County. Again the streets are filled with little shops that can cater to everyone.

Our last day was in Stroudsburg. There is a fine example of a mansion, built in the Georgian style. It is now a library. Not only was that the only great architecture. Another must see in the small schoolhouse with the bell in the cupola. Stroudsburg too has a ribbon store, really ribbons. Visit them when you go they are on Ann Street. We had dinner at the Irish bar and yes the food was good!

Just a note In winter, one can enjoy snow sports. The season has tons of adventure sports to offer. There are unlimited ways to get out and enjoy these adventures in the Pocono Mountains town.
