First Landing State Park is a Virginia state park located in Virginia Beach. The park is named for the site where Christopher Newport and colonists first landed the Susan Constant on April 26, 1607, during their journey to establish the first permanent English settlement in the New World at Jamestown.
The park offers visitors access to the Chesapeake Bay and its many recreational opportunities, including fishing, crabbing, swimming, hiking, and biking. The park also features several historical exhibits commemorating the colonists’ arrival in America.
