It’s vacation time. The news dropped yesterday; people are starting to travel as the borders are open. Families and friends who have not seen each other can now do so. Do you know where you’re going?
If you wish to go to Europe, then look at going to the cities that have so much to offer.
In addition to Paris, Venice, Florence, and Milan, vacationers are returning to Dublin, Athens, Zurich, Glasgow, Budapest and Istanbul. In addition to day trips and river cruises, these repeat visitors have found picturesque villages, medieval castles, and unspoiled countryside to savor during their visits.
Then there are those travelers who want to explore the places they’ve never been before-especially countries in Eastern Europe like the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Not only are they rich in history and culture, they can be cost-effective.
For the traveler that wants to be where they film, Go to Ireland, as that is where “Game of Thrones” is filmed. Or if you are a fan of “Outlander”, then head to Scotland. “” is filmed around England. Hollywood/ Netflix? Hulu’s movies have inspired exciting new itineraries.

Back in the day, “Pride and Prejudice” and “Match Point” were filmed in England, and tourist offices offered maps pinpointing their locales. Those traveling with children, took them to explore the dramatic landscape of the Czech Republic captured in “The Chronicles of Narnia.”
