M83
Anthony Gonzalez’s M83 project presents the Fantasy 2023 Tour featuring synth-pop sound on May 9th at the Commodore. The immersive experience of the concert will be accompanied by guest artists, and tickets are available for $150.75.
Haley Kiyoko
The famous American actress, singer, and dancer, Haley Kiyoko, is performing in Vancouver on May 13th at 868 Granville Street. Her fans can attend the concert by purchasing tickets that cost $65. Haley has been on a creative rise since the release of her EP A Belle to Remember in 2013.
Matchbox Twenty
Matchbox Twenty, an American rock band formed in 1995, is performing in Vancouver on May 16th at 800 Griffiths Way. Tickets are available for $57.95.
Jurassic World Live Tour
The Canadian premiere of Jurassic World Live Tour is taking place on May 19th-21st and May 26th-28th at 100 North Renfrew Street. The tour features life-sized dinosaurs operated by animatronics and performers, including fan-favorite Velociraptor Blue and a 40-foot-long T.rex. Fans of the Netflix series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will also recognize Bumpy, the friendly dino.

CATS
The musical CATS is coming to Vancouver as part of a multi-season North American tour from May 23rd-28th at 630 Hamilton Street. It is one of the biggest hits in theatrical history and is a must-see for theatre lovers.
Art Vancouver 2023
Art Vancouver’s international art fair is hosting 37 Canadian and Indigenous artists, providing them with a global platform to exhibit and sell their work to collectors and galleries. The fair is taking place from May 4th-7th at 1055 Canada Place, and tickets are available for $20+.
Firehall 2023
The Firehall is closing its 2022-23 season with the premiere of rice & beans theatre’s Happy Valley from May 25th-June 4th at 280 East Cordova. Happy Valley, written by award-winning playwright Derek Chan, dissects the historic, political, and cultural context surrounding Hong Kong’s current democratic struggles.
After Dark
Science World’s “After Dark” series is back, and adults get free reign over all the exhibits, with optional drinks available. The event takes place on May 18th and every third Thursday of the month at 1455 Quebec Street, and tickets cost $37 per person.

Shipyards Night Market
The Shipyards Night Market, featuring beer gardens, food trucks, live music, and DJs, is making a comeback after a three-year hiatus. It will take place every Friday from May 12th-September 15th at The Shipyards, North Vancouver, and admission is free.
Richmond Night Market
The Richmond Night Market, which offers a wide range of street food such as candy sticks, boba, and customizable noodles, will open on April 28th. It attracts over a million visitors each year.
