Tips for Responsible Travel
Travel Blogging | Do you consider yourself a responsible traveler? In this post, we will give you some ideas to travel responsibly.
What is responsible tourism? It is about traveling sensibly and committed to the environment surrounding us. In other words, try to ensure that our impact when traveling is minimal or, if we have any, that it be as positive as possible.
REUSABLE BOTTLES
It is well known that plastic is not a friend of the environment, so our first recommendation is that you use reusable bottles. They can be found easily in any store, either physical or online.
We use these Miss Wood thermal bottles, which are also reusable and made with environmentally friendly materials.

COVERS AND REUSABLE CONTAINERS
This part is the one that is most difficult for us to respect due to the space in the backpacks. Ideally, everyone should travel with stainless steel straws, reusable cutlery or chopsticks, and food containers.
We know it is uncomfortable, but once you get used to it, you normalize it as one more part of your travel routine.
BE RESPECTFUL TO LOCALS
When we refer to traveling responsibly and leaving the least possible impact wherever we go, we also include its population. It is essential to read about the country you are visiting, about its customs, traditions, etc. To be respectful and know what is well seen and what is not.
For example, if we talk about Iran. A thing as normal for us as shaking hands in public it is not entirely well seen there, especially by the most conservative people.
Another example of a culture different from ours the Japanese. Speaking on the phone in the subway or eating on the street is frowned upon.
All this is very important to know before you travel to be respectful of the local people of the country you are visiting.
CARING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
To travel responsibly, one of the easiest things to respect is caring for the environment. This is where the previous practices of reducing plastic waste would come in, but also others.
For example, if you see some waste in the place you visit, how much does it cost to collect it?
We already know that you have not thrown it, but if we all think like that, the world will go to hell right away.
RESPONSIBLE TOURISM WITH ANIMALS

One of the things that almost everyone wants to see when traveling is wild animals. Before visiting a place where animals’ activities are carried out, we must inform ourselves well about the conditions in which they are and what type of activity is done.
When doing water activities such as diving or snorkeling, it is essential to remember that you shouldn’t touch any animal. Try not to invade their space too much as they may feel threatened or stressed. Above all, do not try to catch any animal and lift them from the water, as it could lead to death, as with starfish.
